区别：
一、意思不同
live in表示住在... .其后面跟表示地点的名词。住在学习工作的地方住在（某地）。live on表示继续活着继续存在住在…上以…为食。
1、They live on the other side of the street.
他们住在马路的另一边。
2、They bought an old schoolhouse to live in and built a workshop in the basement
他们买了一处老校舍当住屋，然后在地下室里建了一个作坊。
二、读音不同
live on：英 [liv ɔn] 美 [liv ɑn]
live in：英 [liv in] 美 [liv ɪn]
1、I live on my own in a studio flat.
我自己住在一个单间公寓里。
2、We must try to live in peace and harmony with ourselves and those around us
我们必须努力和我们自己及周围的人和睦相处。
