如果是either of这个短语作主语，那么谓语动词必须使用第三人称单数，不存在就近原则。如：Either of the twins is at school.
如果把这个短语改成...则的确是就近原则。如：Either Tom or his parents are at home.或者Either Tom's parents or he is at home.
